MORE time spent at home has been great for some; but for others it may have been enough to make them realise that their existing property is far from perfect.
“Perhaps it’s too small and doesn’t have a garden, or maybe it’s too big and needs too much maintenance? Or, when push comes to shove, perhaps it’s just too far from shops, parks and other important services,” says Redrow’s Yorkshire sales director Steve Jackson.
“First time buyers, meanwhile, may have spent lockdown realising that with bars and restaurants closed, no options for anything other than essential shopping, and expensive holidays currently off the agenda, it’s much easier to save for a deposit.”
Whatever the circumstances, for those ready for a new home, here are seven good reasons to choose Redrow’s Aspen Park at Roundwood, in Garforth, West Yorkshire.
Garforth is a small town in the east suburbs of Leeds. It has all the amenities you need, a great sense of community, a proper high street with banks, shops and cafes, two train stations and plenty more to offer both within the town itself and on its doorstep.
There are schools rated ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’ within a short walk of Redrow’s Aspen Park development. Ninelands Primary is literally two minutes away.
While lockdown has been a time for solitary runs, walks and cycle rides and online fitness sessions, many will be looking forward to when they can get back to the gym and organised sport. The good news for Aspen Park residents is that Garforth Squash and Leisure Centre is right next door and includes a 43-station gym, six squash courts and five badminton courts. There’s also the Glebelands Recreation Ground nearby on Ninelands Lane, which includes a children’s playground and a skate park.
Shops & services
There’s a local convenience shop close to Redrow’s development, plenty of shops in the centre of Garforth and a Tesco superstore on the outskirts. There are also pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways in the town. Leeds city centre can be reached by train and The Springs retail park at Thorpe Park is around 10 minutes’ drive away.
East Garforth train station is a short walk from Aspen Park and serves Leeds (13 minutes) and York (21 minutes). The M1 and A1(M) are both easily reached, making Aspen Park a great base for commuters.
Great choice of homes
With a choice of modern apartments, family homes and magnificent three-storey townhouses, Aspen Park offers something different for you and your family, both inside and out. The designs are from Redrow’s Georgian influenced Regent Collection, with characterful frontages and spacious, bright interiors.
Aspen Park includes some homes that are ready to move into almost straight away, including the four-bedroom Portman Grand townhouse from £324,950. Badged by Redrow as ‘Readymade Homes’, these properties include valuable extras and upgrades to make them even better value for money.
Help to Buy
With available homes from £324,950, the development is eligible for Help to Buy meaning customers can apply for a Government-backed equity loan for up to 20% of the property price, leaving them to find only a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage from a lender of choice. The equity loan is interest free for the first five years. Or for those with an existing property to sell, Redrow’s own Help to Sell incentive uses local estate agents to find a buyer and makes a contribution to your selling fees.
The sales centre and show homes at Aspen Park are now open daily by appointment only, including late night opening until 7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. New social distancing measures are in place to ensure the safety of customers and staff. Go to www.redrow.co.uk/aspenpark for more information or call 0113 213 6245.
